Eric Mesko's Mudville Exhibit

Practically a holiday in Detroit, the Tiger's opening day at the ballpark signifies that Spring and America's favorite pastime are finally back. Despite the cooler temperatures, the sun poked out to reveal the figurative warmth in the city. Baseball, like the other popular professional sports in this country, has been driven by money in recent years. Even still, it holds a special place in our hearts; a place defined by tradition more than anything.
Mesko's nostalgic baseball-themed exhibit: Mudville, USA, which is currently at the Art House, exudes a feeling of true love for the game and for the pastime. Through art compiled for all the right reasons, the altruistic baseball era of the early 20th century comes to life. The show continues for two more weeks, Wed-Sat, 1-5 pm. Please experience the symbolic journey into the past where Mr. Mesko's creative compilation inevitably will take you.
